About
JFK Playback Duo

From the Living Room to Around The World

JFK Playback Duo was born to a need - the couple Jori Pitkänen and Katinka Czigány had an immaterial Christmas coming up and they had no present. Being both professional, long-time Playback Theatre practitioners they decided to create a new form of Playback Theatre - a duo, playing back stories in different genres, poems, songs and movement. The first performance was a huge success and inspiration, and they decided to continue the journey of doing Duo Playback Theatre together. Being a couple made it all the more sweeter (and practical).

Their journey brought them to perform in Hungary and Cuba, as well as in Finland. Now, residing in Finland, JFK Playback Duo is ready for its next adventures and audiences, excited to hear your stories!

Editor's note: Playback Theatre is a form of theatre where members of the audience share stories and experiences of their own lives, and the performing group improvises the stories back using different forms and techniques.
